The Musée Grévin, near the Hôtel Daunou Opéra, is certainly one of the most emblematic Parisian museums. Opened in June 1882, this wonderful wax museum still attracts no fewer than 700,000 visitors of all ages every year. These visitors are delighted to get up close and personal with so many famous people. Recently renovated, the museum reveals an even more exciting new concept!
250 personalities more real than nature
The Grévin Museum invites you to meet more than 250 personalities who have made or still make history. Great or notorious characters from the past, world leaders, sports stars, movie stars and musicians; they’re all here in astonishingly lifelike detail and presented in appropriate settings. This amazing museum is a must-see during your Parisian break.
Even fictional characters get the Grevin Museum treatment, widening its appeal still further. Titeuf, Scrat and the Little Prince have been joined by The Raving Rabbids and more fictional favourites. Inspired by history, news, politics or the world of people, all these characters, exquisitely represented, have helped to forge the success of this extraordinary museum.
A new experience
After closing for the few months of work needed to give the place a facelift, the Grévin Museum recently unveiled its new look. Far from being a place of static backdrops and frozen characters, the Museum now comes alive and invites you to participate in a new experience in a completely immersive universe.
Since April 2019, in addition to the arrival of thirty new characters, nearly 3000m2 of space has been redeveloped into 10 different worlds, each boasting a musical scenography and interactive scenes that plunge you immediately into the reality of the characters.
We won’t tell you any more, as we want you to be surprised and enjoy discovering these innovations when you visit the museum during your stay with us!
