The Grand Palais des Glaces invites you to enjoy fun, magical and unforgettable moments with those you love, night and day until January 8th. The largest temporary skating rink in the world sparkles an icy invitation beneath the splendid glass roof of a majestic treasure of our heritage; the Grand Palais.
A frosty but friendly ambiance
Sports enthusiasts, families, groups of friends, holidaymakers and day trippers are all welcome at the world’s largest temporary indoor ice rink. It’s installed in the prestigious and magical setting of the nave of the Grand Palais, beneath the largest glass roof in Europe. This fifth edition will be the last before the Grand Palais closes for major renovations from the end of 2020 to 2023. One more reason not to miss this opportunity! As well as enjoying gliding around this huge, icy playground, you’ll also get a buzz from the ambiance of its spectacular and historic setting. Day and night, music plays to help your rhythm as you practise your camel spins, salchows, somersaults, pirouettes, axels and other slick moves.
A diamond on the ice
In the evening, from 20:00 until 02:00, a ‘bulle diamant’ (diamond bubble), a sort of giant multifaceted mirrorball, turns in the middle of this XXL skating rink. It illuminates the nave, turning it into a breathtaking fairyland of sparkling light.
Fancy taking a snack break?
Skating uses up energy! To reward yourself for your flawless figure skating, console yourself after an embarrassing tumble, replenish some of that expended energy or simply get together with friends, the Grand Palais des Glaces offers you catering options throughout the day. To tuck into delicious hot dogs, munch a crêpe or donut, or try the hot chocolate fountain, stop by the Coca-Cola winter village, where you can warm up between sessions on the ice.
